There's something intriguing about these beauty shots by German born freelance photographer Daniela Glunz. It's probably the fact that the makeup is so overdone that it is more like expressionist art than true makeup. Solitude is a funny thing. It can either make you feel alone or it can give you strength and a needed break. This series, entitled Nowhere by Michel Rajkovic perfectly captures this state of solitude. Each photo brings you into a world void of everything but the subject in focus. The use of black and white helps accentuate the subject and make everything around it seem barren.
At first glance, it feels like you are looking at a still from a movie scene. Florian Tremp's photos aren't from a movie scene though. They are actually photos of miniature models. Each model is built by hand with supplies from miniature railroad sets. He makes amazing use of lighting to set the mood of each scene, and arranges them in interesting compositions to pull you in.
Nathan Spotts has always been captivated by the beauty of the world and often imagines what lies just beyond what we can see.
